OUR STORY
For many years I envisioned opening a unique clothing store. The Old Bank Building in downtown King became available in November 2011 so I felt it was time to move forward. I presented the idea to my husband, Wayne, and with his vision and hard work we created a business plan, selected quality clothing lines, decorated the building and "Dalton's Crossing" was established.
We dedicated this wonderful opportunity to the memory of Wayne's Mother, Mary Lou Ray, who passed away in 2011 at age 95. Mrs. Ray believed in dedication and hard work which gave us the incentive to create a business that she would be proud of.
Dalton’s Crossing is located in the historic section of downtown King, NC in The Old Bank Building which was chartered in 1914. In 2014 we purchased the adjoining building, 104 E. Dalton Road, opened up the two buildings to create more space for customer convenience. We strived to maintain the character of the buildings while adding unique decorations and features to create an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality staying true to our local roots. Being locally owned and operated, our customers are the key to our success. We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcomed and appreciated. We are blessed to have a wonderful group of customers who continually support us.
